EXC!TE WATERTOWN Has a New Look & New Goals For 2022

After a challenging couple of years due to COVID-19, the professionals’ group has regrouped and is more EXC!TED than ever.

WATERTOWN, SD – The new year brings exciting changes for EXC!TE Watertown including the introduction of new board members, a rebranding, and a standalone website.

After three years of serving as Chair, Katherine Danforth of the Watertown Convention and Visitors Bureau is stepping into an advisory position and has nominated Amanda Culhane of the Watertown Development Company to be her successor.

“It has been a privilege to serve as EXC!TE’s chair, but I am looking forward to seeing what’s in store for EXC!TE under Amanda’s leadership,” says Danforth. “Her vision and passion for the mission of the organization are just what EXC!TE needs to move forward in re-engaging the Watertown community.”

Additional new board members include Kyle Peters - A1 Development Solutions, Becky Weber - VRS PC, Natasha Ronke – Enercept, and Dalton Eng – Anytime Fitness & State Farm Insurance.

The rebranding and website are new additions to the group as well. Culhane, whose background is in graphic design, worked with the board to create a new look aimed at capturing the re-energization of EXC!TE.

“I wanted to create something simple yet bold that would easily be recognized,” said Culhane. “The “!W” symbol, which can be used on its own, will really stand out on future promotional materials.”

The website, now live, is a place for people to learn more about EXC!TE, how to get involved, and hopefully sign up as a member.

“It’s going to be an exciting year.” said Culhane. “We have a long list of ideas and a great group of people ready to push them forward.”
